HOW I GOT INTO DESIGN

Honestly, it all started as a kid. I always tried to rearrange my room and change things up every few months; thankfully, my mom allowed my creative process! As an adult, I started to design spaces for my friends; it was just my hobby. When I moved to Florida, I decided to build a design business and go for it. It had always been something that brought me so much joy. I’ve loved adding beauty to many homes and rentals in the 30a area through interior design!
Meet My Family
Smith, Party Of Seven
I met my husband, Jake, about 15 years ago, and it was love at first sight…well, for me, anyway. It took him a few more months to reciprocate that feeling, haha, but since then, we’ve been pretty inseparable. We got married in 2009 in an intimate backyard wedding surrounded by our friends and family. Not long after, we had Ava-Kate (2010) and Addie (2011) in back to back years. Our hearts and home were full of two Smith babies, and we were expecting another, but nothing could have prepared us for what was next. We lost our daughter Lily in 2013, which sent us into a time of healing and overcoming grief. Our family moved to my hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana, and found refuge in the same people surrounding us on our wedding day. We needed that.
At that time, in Lafayette, Louisiana, we welcomed three more Smith babies: Evie, Josiah, and Isabella. The time may have been wild with a house full of babies, but it was just what we always wanted, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Now living in Florida, we are settling into our routine, spending as much time at the beach as we can, and fully loving this new adventure on the Gulf Coast as we grow Allie Smith Design Co. and Consider Lily, our Non-Profit.
